Fire damper valves and smoke exhaust valves are two kinds of valves with different functions. If we want to use them flexibly, we obviously need to have a deep understanding of their different functions and functions.
1、 Fire damper valves
The valves of fire dampers are generally set in the ventilation and air conditioning pipeline passing through the fire compartment. It is opened at ordinary times and closed in case of fire to cut off the spread of smoke and fire along the ventilation duct to other fire compartments. Fire damper valves can be divided into the following three categories:
1. The temperature fuse installed in the valve body drives the linkage mechanism of the valve body to act. The fusible link or fusible ring of the temperature fuse has a fusing temperature of 70 ℃, and this kind of fire damper is mostly used. Special attention shall be paid during installation. The temperature fuse must be installed in the direction of air flow. When the fire damper has regulating function, it is also called fire regulating valve.
2. A fire damper linked by a temperature sensor set in the ceiling. Such valves are rarely used in China.
3. A fire damper linked by a smoke detector set on the ceiling. This kind of valve is usually also known as smoke valve.
Tip: according to the needs of the project, some fire dampers are not only equipped with temperature fuses, but also linked with smoke detectors. Such valves are called smoke and fire dampers. In the dual-purpose system, some are equipped with exhaust outlets on the main pipe. During smoke exhaust, the air outlet shall be closed. At this time, the fireproof air outlet composed of fire damper and shutter air outlet can be used.

2、 Smoke exhaust valve
The valves of smoke exhaust valves are set on the special smoke exhaust duct or dual-purpose air duct according to the smoke control zoning. There are three main types:
1. Smoke exhaust valve
For the dual-purpose branch air duct in the smoke control zone, the smoke exhaust valve is normally open, and due to the uncertainty of the fire area, the smoke exhaust valve should be open and closed, so it should be electric. In case of fire in any smoke control zone, the fire control center can control the smoke exhaust valve in this zone to open and smoke exhaust, and the smoke exhaust valves in other zones can be closed. If the branch air duct in the smoke control zone is not used simultaneously, that is, a special smoke exhaust stop pipe is connected in parallel on the original air duct. At this time, the smoke exhaust valve on the smoke exhaust branch pipe is a normally closed electromagnetic manual reset valve linked with the smoke detector. The same is true for the smoke exhaust valve in the general non dual-purpose smoke exhaust system.
2. Smoke exhaust outlet
It is composed of smoke exhaust valve and louver air outlet or plate air outlet, which is used on the special smoke exhaust branch pipe of smoke exhaust system and rocket system.
3. Smoke exhaust fire damper
A 280 ℃ temperature fuse is installed on the smoke exhaust valve body to form a smoke exhaust fire damper. When the smoke exhaust temperature reaches 280 ℃, the temperature fuse acts, the valve is closed and the smoke exhaust is stopped.
Tip: in addition, 280 ℃ fused fire damper or fire regulating valve shall be set at the connection between the smoke exhaust main pipe and the smoke exhaust shaft or at the wall passing through the fan room to prevent the spread of fire.
